Name: Rain Sabah Nur
Alias: Apocalypse, Teen Apocalypse
Age: 18
Gender: Famale
Race: Human Mutant
Alignment: Herself
Pre-existing or Original: Modified Existing
Date of Birth: January 6th 2003
Place of Birth: New York, New York, USA
Physical Appearance:
Rain was short for her age, somewhat scrawny, but she was a fighter, her posture proud and her energy boundless. She had a swarthy complexion, and wore her short, black hair in twintails. She often favored tough, punkish clothing, and was a fan of heavy rings and chains.
After her Ascension, she changed drastically. Rain was still short, but she couldn't really pass as a human anymore. Her face was bone white, and her lips were far more pronounced and blue, a line running from the corners of her mouth raised and outlined her cheekbones, looping around to the back of her head. Her cheeks, jaw, and neck, contrasting the rest of her face, are matte black, giving her face an ominous skull visage. Her hair is till up in twin-tails, but they're longer and are made of metallic dreadlocks.
Apocalypse wears a full body suit, or the suit might be composed of her being. Two lengths of what moves like silk but feels like metal connect from her wrists to her back, hanging down under her arms like scarves, and she has an armored skirt that comes down close to her knees. This outfit is almost entirely a metallic navy blue, with some reflective silver highlights. Two chain lanyards hang at each of her hips, and she has a prominent belt with a large "A" buckle at the front. Her hands end in thick gloves with studded knuckles and she wears heavy boots on her feet.
Pic Base: It's in the works...
Special Abilities:
Enhanced Immune System: Rain's initial mutation was a superhuman immune system. She had never gotten sick (Though she had faked it to get out of school in the past) and no injuries she had sustained had ever gotten infected, at least not for long.
Minor healing factor: As well as her mutant health, Rain's body was able to heal up and recover from injury at an increased rate. Though she was not capable of regrowing missing body parts or miraculously undeadifying herself, she overcame cuts, bruises and broken bones at an increased rate and with minimal scarring or long-term negative effects.
Enhanced Physical Performance: An extension of her other two abilities, Rain was able to push herself beyond human limits in terms of fortitude, endurance and exertion. As well as recovering from fatigue more quickly than the average human, she could undergo strenuous activity for longer and took far longer to tire.
Complete control of her molecular structure: After her ascension, Teen Apocalypse had complete control over the matter making up her being. She was capable of shapeshifting completely, grow and shrink at will, and alter her composition at an atomic level while maintaining her personality and consciousness. This does not render Rain indestructible, as it requires exertion and concentration to maintain these transformations, and she can still be worn down and exhausted if forced to repeatedly use her shapeshifting abilities.
Celestial Technology: Rain inherited a connection to the technology of the Celestials, cosmic beings who had left a crashed ship in Egypt millennia ago. This technology enhances Rain's shapeshifting and allows her to easily shapeshift herself into complex mechanical and technological objects. This technology grants Rain a number of other benefits, though she hasn't figured out what these are yet...
Weapons:
Complete control of her molecular structure: Bitch is the weapon.
Celestial technology: Rain's shapeshifting is augmented with alien technology. The previous Apocalypse usually boiled this down to "I can turn my hands into ray guns and go pew pew pew". Fighting in the 90's baby.
History:
Rain grew up in New York, her attitude making her enemies as much as her Egyptian heritage in a post 9/11 world. She learned to fight at an early age and refused to back down from anyone or anything. This attitude made her friends, close friends, a small gang of angry outcasts. Her grades and performance in sports were exemplary, though daily detention meant she had lots of time to catch up on her schoolwork.
It was during high school when it was revealed to Rain she was a mutant. Blood taken from her during a medical examination was studied without her knowledge, and the X-gene was confirmed. No one told her, but she overheard her parents receiving the news from the hospital, much to her horror. Rain already spent her time throwing down with people over whatever reason they found to cause her grief, and now they had the biggest reason of all. Little did she know the importance of this discovery, and of just what value her powers had.
Rain was heading home from school one day, unaware that the shortcut she was taking through an abandoned building was a blind spot in an Avengers security grid meant to divert civilians from a major battleground. In that building, Rain came face to face with En Sabah Nur, Apocalypse himself.
And he was dying.
Someone, probably written by that hack Liefeld, had gone Punisher on Apocalypse and fatally wounded him. The story might have ended right there, Apocalypse would've killed the person who saw him in that moment of weakness and bled out then and there, but he encountered a mutant and decided he had one shot at survival. Rain turned and tried to run but Apocalypse stretched his limb out, grabbing her leg and dragging her back towards him, infesting her body with his celestial technology and beginning to try and merge himself with her. Apocalypse can transfer his essence to any mutant he comes into contact with, a way he has cheated death many times in the past. Soon, Apocalypse's current body died, but as it did so he forced his essence and his being into Rain, trying to take her over, to make her into his next vessel.
However, two things happened in that building. Rain's mutant powers combated Apocalypse's invasion of her body, fighting off his attempts to subvert her neural system and preventing him from weakening or harming her. He underestimated her will too, an angry, angry young woman who's been fighting tooth and nail every day against everyone and everything that got in her way. His mind, with no form to cling to and desperately trying to find purchase within Rain's body, was shut the fuck down and deleted by a scared, scrappy teen in an abandoned building.
With no mind to control it and a willful, living mutant host, Apocalypse's celestial technology and remaining genetic material began to change, blending with Rain. Her skin crawled, her muscles ached, her bones twisted. With a sudden scream of pain and terror, her mutant powers directed the course of her Ascension. She look down, watching her body change where she lay and taking on a strange form, her skin not her own. She crawled slowly, finding a mirror in a long forgotten washroom and pulling herself up using the dusty, derelict sink. Her appearance, she looked like herself, but... Apocalypse! Her lips were blue like his and had that weird line thing, she was bald, her skin ash pale and her clothes torn and tattered from her transformation.
It took an hour to figure out how to change her appearance. Accessing the technology of the Celestials took less time but was infinitely more painful. Soon, though, she modified her appearance, taking on that skull visage and growing new clothes from her own body, made from her own molecules. While looking in the mirror, she decided to try something. Bitch needed some curves. With some concentration, Rain aged herself up two years, giving herself a more pronounced figure, a respectable bust, and some hips to die for. Satisfied with her increased hotness, paired with her new metallic-dreads hair and striking attire, she began to think about this, really think about it.
She was still Rain, she still loved her family, still loved her friends. However, just yesterday she had found out she was a mutant, and now she had witnessed one of the most dangerous mutants in the world die. No, not quite, he had tried to take her over, he couldn't and she was him now. Rain had... Killed Apocalypse? No, no he was on his way out already and she wasn't a killer! She just benefited from his death. Was it a benefit, though? This was some sick joke! She looked like him, like that guy who was scarier than Magneto or Green Goblin or Stilt Man... Who'd believe her if they saw her walking around looking like, well, him?
It took some time, but Rain decided to try and make herself look human again, to return herself to her previous appearance and age. Did age even matter anymore? She could shapeshift as much as she wanted, she was a bad-ass to begin with but now she's uber-bad-ass! Plus, she made herself 18, she could drink now, right? Rain was able to revert herself, though she had to fake her clothes with her shapeshifting... It'll be hard to explain to her parents why it took so long for her to get home, especially with the Avengers declaring an emergency in the place she was at.
This, however, didn't matter. As she began to head for home, a sudden burst of light encompassed her. When it stopped being blinding, obnoxious, and kinda green, she found herself in a laboratory, surrounded by guys in lab coats and goggles. This day just isn't getting any better, is it?
