Physical Appearance:
Miranda Frost is a tall woman, being some seven feet tall and weighing at a good 200 lbs, prosthesis and all. Her skin is well tanned, contrasted with her bleach white hair and silver eye. Her left eye had been long replaced by one of cybernetic design. Though of normal, steel hue, The ocular sensor in its center glows a soft crimson. A smooth scar stretches across her left eye, showing the injury that had taken her eye prior.
Her prosthetic are old and have begun to show their wear. Its not uncommon to see bits of it rusted, even through her efforts to keep it clean. Both arms have been replaced, along with the legs. Her battles have earned her scars throughout her body. Open her up and you could find even more cybernetics maintaining her life. To hide these she tends to wear clothing that cover her flesh, whether that be her greatcoat lined with the crimson scales of the dragons she had once slain, or the black fatigues she hides her legs with.
The power armor she wears is slim with Durasteel plates lined with strong ceramite. Well not as strong as adamantium the original specs called for, it certainly is close with the advanced ceramic armor lining assisting its abilities.
Pic Base:
Miranda Frost
Special Abilities/Weapons:
Visual Awareness: Miranda's ocular sensor is particularly powerful, but not necessarilycompletely "Ocular" The eye produces waves that radiate out very much like a radar and collects data and reconstructs that into visual data for her eye's HUD to "See". Because of this she can "see" in a 360 field of view for about 100 meters.
"Scorn": Along the gauntlets of her armor is a pair of retractable adamantium claws that can use the power generated by Miranda's power core to create a field of energy around the claws that multiplies the cutting ability of the blade, giving the claws (being about a foot each with two applied to each gauntlet) the cutting power akin to that of a lightsaber with the weight of her gauntlet behind it.
Enhanced Physiology: Her cybernetics are stronger than that of a normal human and allow her to move a good deal faster. The cybernetics reduce aging effects and allow her to consume most things for nutrients so long as it contains the nutrients her body needs (doesnt mean it will be pleasant) She doesn't need to sleep as her implants will keep the mind at a baseline level of alertness, but sleep does help her perform optimally. In ideal conditions, Miranda could live forever, should her cybernetics be maintained decently. The cybernetics also enhance her ability to heal, and seal wounds quickly. However if an organ is gone with nothing left to heal from, the organ cannot be brought back.
Proficiency: hand to hand combat- Miranda is quite decent at hand to hand combat in the most general of terms. She's never trained in any kind of formal marshal arts, but her street fighting has put her against practitioners of such arts before and has been able to match them.
Maintenance proficiency: Miranda is able to keep her power armor and her cybernetics functioning. Though she might not be able to squeeze every-bit of juice out of the tools in her disposal, the ability to do so allows her to work (or potentially work) on many things machine in this new world.
Overcharge: Miranda can the amount of power her body can output to any or all of her cybernetics and suits functions to triple their effectiveness in that field, but doing so for long periods of time can result in burnout or shutdown of such components, which could be crippling or perhaps even fatal to herself.
History:
Following the turn of the twentieth century, tensions had reached their highest between the United States and the Union of United Socialist Republics. Keys were turned and society was wiped from the Earth. With nearly eighty percent of the population gone, survivors have done what they could over the years to rebuild, but proper civilization has only reached city-state level.
In the deserts of the former U.S., a great stadium has been built to showcase the strongest of each city and to provide a more rational and sporty way to avoid full-scale war. Each of the eight remaining city-level settlements in the United States would send their best fighters to clash with the other cities' champions and gain superiority over the other cities for a year. These fights are generally non-fatal, but recently more and more deaths have been happening in that dirt arena.
Miranda Frost was 20 when she and her twin brother, November, was sent to the stadium to train and fight for their hometown's glory. 40 contestants, and only one would be victorious, at least before assassins disguised as contestants began killing off competitors during the matches. They were subtle, using poison needles hidden in their sleeves. These needles would prick the blocking opponent, and after a long fight the poison would take effect, giving the afflicted competitor a visage of fatigue in which they would be knocked out with a final blow. If one would find the corpse later, one could find spots of severe deterioration
November's sharp eyes noticed this and intervened to save his sister. This upset the balance of the already tense crowd, causing all out, bloody chaos among the stands. November was killed and tossed aside, but Miranda wasn't necessarily safe. She walked away from the arena, drunk on poison, missing an eye with a broken jaw. She passed out on a dune, but was saved by a band of desert bandits, who nursed her to health. She was injected with poison into her left and right cheeks as well as both of her arms. The deterioration forced the bandits to amputate them, replacing then with prototype, robotic prosthesis. Her jaw was removed and covered by an artificial, steel, heavy duty jaw. After recovering she would have wrestled control of the bandits and led them on a rampage through the desert, razing the stadium in which she lost the only thing she wanted to protect. However, she was snatched by the Smiling One after rehabilitation.
Miranda Frost had become an unfortunate anomaly. She, as she is now, is the result of one version of herself losing favor with the Smiling One, a childlike trickster god, at the very moment another version of herself was called to his dimension. The two versions melded together, their minds and bodies fusing quite firmly together. Now her mind is splintered, her memories shattered, and her psyche reduced far lower than the high confidence she once carried. Her body had begun to degrade as the piece of her that had lost favor was still trying to disappear, but the other half refused to let go, leaving her in a state of near constant pain. To this end, she'd have to let go completely of her past and live a new life free from the burden her past selves have given her.
Thankfully, such a thing allowed her to escape his toybox realm and back to a realty close to home, but in the wrong dimension.
Oops.
