The demons inside of her head from the blood transfusion screamed inside her soul demanding control of her body, but the child herself kept her control and continued forward through the streets of Kansas City at the dead of night. In a black dress with dry blood on her feet and black eyes like tunnels. She had no idea where she was, nor did she really care. She was looking for someone. Anyone to tell her what she was and why she was here.
As she traveled the streets a car suddenly stopped in front of her and honked in her direction demanding she remove herself from the road. Legion stared at the driver who began to feel a banging sensation in his head until his skin melted off, and the muscle beneath the skin, leaving nothing behind but a skeleton as the car was torn apart by Legion's mind and she stepped over it to continue down the road. While she stalked the streets getting closer to the city one thing was for sure...
Legion was here.

She couldn't approach the city, not looking the way she did. This world was untouched by Malethoth, and she had no idea how people would react to the sight of her. Pisa knew, though, that this thing should not be allowed to approach the city. She calmly pushed fresh shells into Dominant Kriat's four chambers, her hooves scraping the dirt impatiently.
With an inhuman bleat, Pisa kicked the ground, lunging forward. From the side of the road, approaching the murderous child from four o'clock, Pisa whirled her spear and brought it around in a wide ark, seeking to rake Legion with the blade. With luck, the element of surprise would allow her to strike before the abomination's powers could reach her.

The devil child remained rooted to her spot as the spear came just inches from her face before being halted by an invisible barrier from the child's telekinesis. Using her telekinesis to split the spear's blade in half and go further down the polearm until a strong invisible shove pushed the Satyr backwards away from the devil child.
"Are we alive?"
Her words were so strong it would've made the other feel fatigued, as everything about the devil child was impure and terrible. She took a step forward and created a black tendril to thrust at the chest of the Satyr like her own spear and impale her straight through.
"Or are we nightmares?"

Not wanting to lose her dear Kriat, Pisa quickly triggered the weapons four chambers. She gambled on this demon focusing her powers onto the spear, hopefully not fully shielding herself against four simultaneous shotgun rounds at that range. It wouldn't be enough to save Dominant Kriat, but it would hopefully be enough to draw some blood from the demon.
"Whatever you are..." Pisa rolled with the push, gaining more distance than the shunt alone would've made. It gave her more time to react to the next attack, and Pisa drew her falcata, the heavy blade swinging down to deflect the tendril.
"I'll make sure you don't get any closer to that city!" Aarbron's balls, this was a bad idea. Pisa looked over at the metal vehicle, sheered apart and with the mangled remnants of its driver on full display. She was in over her head here, but was compelled to protect the humans in that city from this monster.

Legion was pierced by the shotgun shells and blood began to pour out of her chest, but there was something abnormal about the blood. It came out like a current, a flood, and it threatened to drag Pisa away in its current as it went down the road and began breaking through the various houses that were outside the city on the way to the city. Legion rose up to the top of the blood current, her wound already healed, and began to walk on its surface.
"We are Legion!"
With this declaration the dead from the blood flood came reanimated as members of the undead and looked to feast on Pisa's flesh. Their hands raking and clawing at the Satyr as their teeth came down to dig into her flesh.
"And we are many!"

The tide of blood was a boon to Pisa, she let the current push her further away from demon. The extra space gave her time to draw her Falcata next, hoping it would fair better than her ruined Dominant Kriat. The blade would serve her well as Legion's undead minions emerged, surrounding Pisa while she was knee deep in the blood. Well poopy.
"Being many simply means you need against a superior foe!"
Any zombie that drew in too close lost a limb or was rent open by the Falcata's heavy blade. Those who drew closer still met horn, tooth and nail as Pisa braced herself, her stance wide as she lashed out in all directions. She wasn't unscathed, her own blood mixing in the tide shed by Legion, driving Pisa into a running battle as she sought to keep the undead from surrounding her.
"Malethoth Ba'aar..."
An old prayer to an evil god, bleated in the bestial tongue of the Beast God's children. Pisa snarled as she took up a zombie's arm, using it as a flail to beat back some of the thinning numbers before hurling it at Legion. Damn her powers, she was the most dangerous but Pisa couldn't draw closer, forced to thin the herds of her minions. She was fighting alone against a true Legion, forced to cut the strings of puppets, once human. Pisa snarled at Legion, staring at her, through her zombies.
"Come on... COME ON!"
She bleated angrily brandishing her sword in a feral display.

"The cycle continues..."
Legion spoke words of prophecy lost on those from this realm, or the various realms in the multiverse. The zombies continued to target Pisa. Surrounding and being knocked back by her new weapon. The Devil Child remained on the blood surface unmoved from her spot. Staring down the Satyr with eyes as black as tunnels as the zombies did the grunt of the work for now. Stopping the hurled arm from reaching her with another telekinesis barrier as she stayed rooted to her spot.
"The otherworlders threaten the balance of this world. The last of us will emerge from the rift and all of creation will be engulfed in light. As it has done before, as it will do again, as it will do forever."
Legion spoke of an entity long since dead, but had survived through her. The evil of the Ancients would be realized once again, and she must find her Herald.
"You are inferior."

This Legion seemed willing to let Pisa tire herself out, or maybe just to observe her struggling with her minions. It would take a while for people to respond to the death and destruction this far out from the city, but with less populace than the much denser city, there seemed to be a finite limit to the zombies.
"Far as I can see, you're the biggest threat to this place now."
Pisa drew ragged breaths, starting to reach the limits of her stamina as she brought down zombie after zombie with her blade, her claws not enough to fully cease their locomotion but certainly proving an effective means of matching their own aggression. This was getting bad, though, as she looked around. There had to be an end to these things, right?
"Rip your cycle, creature! I'll hold you back as long as I can."
It took more effort than she'd like to admit but Pisa forced the doubt out of her voice, trying to keep herself steeled and determined as she hefted her weapon again. She had decided to see which gave out first, the resolve of this creature or her own body.

"We will find the truth of our own existence."
More zombies came towards Pisa, but that wasn't what the Satyr should focus on. What the Satyr should focus on was the fact that the devil child was now moving down the blood sea she had created from an open wound. Fire erupted from her body and launched itself at Pisa looking to burn off her flesh as more black ink tendrils came from her body looking to tear the Satyr apart.
"No one can escape the final judgment."

"Oh, no..."
It was a creature of evil, maybe a match for Malethoth himself as she moved forwards, her powers unleashed at last. Instinct told her to flee, common sense told her to flee, but something else made Pisa hold back. Acting quickly, she slid her blade back into its sheath. It needed to be quick work, and it was a gamble at best. As the flames sprayed forth, Pisa grabbed the neck of one zombie, gripping below the chin to keep it from biting. She placed her other hand on its hip and hefted, shoving it upwards and in front of her. The flames engulfed the corpse as she pushed it away, throwing the burning corpse further into the inferno.
The black tendrils were next, she knew her weapon could deflect them but between the blood, the fire, and the zombies, Pisa had her hands full. The fraction of a second she hesitated, though, the flames renewed. She grabbed another living corpse's shoulder, shoving it in the way of the fire as the tendrils drew in. It took considerable effort to evade them, splashing and wading through the blood and cursing as she felt the sting of a blow across her back, adrenaline reducing the scream of her body to a dull throb. She couldn't see if it was a tendril or a zombie that struck her, but she needed space, she needed time.

Legion continued to march slowly towards Pisa's position. Stalking her almost. As she approached closer Legion began to attack the inside of Pisa's mind. Activating the pain receptors in her brain to cause her great pain. Messing with memories and implanting thoughts that weren't real. Thoughts made to doubt herself and believe that she was going to perish sooner rather than later.
"You are an open book."
If she was anyone else she would've been amazed at how easy it was to invade another person's mind, but she was Legion. Very little actually surprised or terrified her anymore. She was something that couldn't be measured by the mortal mind.

It hurt to move after the blow to her back, then the pain suddenly got a whole lot worse. Pisa couldn't tell who was attacking her mind, all she knew was that her mind was turning against her. At this point, she couldn't tell if she had been in worse situations than this. However, she was a child of Malethoth, a Beast. When her mind was attacked, she did what came natural.
She discarded it.
All she knew was violence at this point, the undead no longer a concern, the blood no longer a concern, the tendrils no longer a concern. Pisa slavered and bleated as she charged at Legion, clinging to a lingering memory of hatred for that child. She reared her head back, gaining speed as she drew closer, planning to slam her skull down onto Legion and bathe her horns in her blood.

Legion stared right into the eyes of Pisa as she charged horns first into her face and did the unthinkable. She held up her hands and touched the cheeks of the Satyr with hands that burned like acid. Threatening to burn off the skin of the Satyr right then and there. It was as if time stood still and all that remained was Legion and Pisa locked in a battle that would end with one of their blood on the ground.
And Legion had bled enough.

Lacking the sense to react to Legion, Pisa brought her head down. She screamed in pain as her skin began to dissolve, blood bubbling and flowing into Legion's hands, but could Legion's childlike arms take the full force of Pisa's headbutt? It was most likely the end for her at this point, she was losing too much blood and had lost her mind. Somehow, she sought to take Legion with her.
At this range Legion would be hard pressed to avoid Pisa's claws, which lashed out, seeking to rend the demon's flesh as she screamed, shuddering violently as her muscles and tendons gave way. Legion's hands reached bone as the beast sought to slay the Legion, even at the cost of her own life.

The devil child persisted in her touch, moving her small childlike hands to Pisa's eyes to melt them off. The claws scratched her face, but the scars didn't form on her skin. She remained where she was as tendrils burst from her body and tore through Pisa's flesh like knife through butter. Fire followed and the pressure on the brain became too much. All at once Pisa's body and mind burst and the skin and muscle melted away until there was nothing but a bloodied skeleton in Legion's wake. Allowing the skeleton to fall to the bottom of the blood sea outside of Kansas City.
The deed had been done, and Pisa's attempts to finish Legion off had failed. The devil child walked on the surface of the blood sea and continued her trek to Kansas City. Now that Pisa's attempts to foil her had proven unsuccessful was there anything in Kansas City and the rest of the country that could stop the force of nature that was...
Legion.
